Construction administration support and inspection services during the construction of Ponce de Leon Boulevard Median Beautification project as required by the Department, in order to meet FDOT’s LAP Program requirements. Some of the scope of work encompassed providing CEI and construction administration services as required for the LAP Program, attending all required meetings such as pre-construction meetings and bi-weekly progress meetings, in addition to preparing minutes for distribution, reviewing shop drawings submitted by contractor for adherence to construction documents, as well as, responding to contractor request for information and clarification of contract documents, coordinating utility issues/conflicts, processing all construction correspondence and documents, reviewing and recommending contractor payment requisitions, certified payrolls and contractor change order requests. Conduct labor interviews to assure wage rate compliance, verifying contractor’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) on-going training program, reviewing contractor EEO requirements, providing On the Job Training (OJT) monitoring and reporting, providing full-time inspector (40 hours per week), conducting semi-final inspection, prepare punch list, final inspection, and contract close-out. In addition to QA/QC – limited materials, density testing, independent assurance testing, coordinating with testing lab to obtain sampling and testing, then comparing test results, document in project records, photo history of project in digital format, plus any other construction phase engineering services as requested by the Department.
